ABOUT ME
Yoga - Mobility- Movement
Hello, I am Jayde Fotiadis , mother to four beautiful children , wife, friend, runner, gym and fitness instructor and yoga teacher, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
I have been teaching yoga for six years now but the journey into teaching began 21 years ago whilst I was working in the beauty industry, whilst being a wonderful industry to work in. I soon got burnt out and yoga was there to save me, just has it has done many times over in my life. I believe all yoga is a therapy (whatever your need or ability).
My ever changing yoga practise has seen me through anxiety, divorce , stress, pregnancy and marathons! It is my lifeline & I want to share this magic with you.
Be it throughout difficult times or to carry through from day to day.
People ask me what method of yoga I teach; to that I have no real answer. Holding numerous qualifications within my yoga development, my style and focus is on flexibility, mobility and movement. Traditional flows with CARs ( Controlled Articulated Rotations) of which, are meticulously planned. I believe yoga poses are not set in stone nor are they precious, they are adjustable and can be personalised. If I have to commit to a style it would be; to ensure the yoga I teach is always accessible and offers regular movement to preserve our bodies and life.
I work closely with clients who are supporting sports training or injuries and I am affiliated with a local running club supporting runners to preserve their running journeys. Founder of Yoga Me and Baby offering pregnant and postnatal people support with Prenatal Yoga, Postnatal mother and baby yoga, baby Massage classes as well as, Birth and Postnatal Doula support for the family.
Traveling with my offerings ' wellbeing in the workplace' is an incentive I have created providing employers with better engagement and culture within their organisations. By using corporate yoga employers encouraging staff to prioritise their mental health, physical health and welcome a harmonious environment for their employees.

Flow and Glow
Practicing yoga at any time of the day can be so helpful, but I always feel Friday morning is a ‘thing’ nearing the end of something, yet moving towards something.
I’m happy to share I have opened up my home space for a Friday morning vinyasa yoga practice, and there is mat space for you too!
Beautiful garden views whilst you practice, warm heated floor and plenty of time for Savasna and coffee to end!
Welcoming all abilities, no experience is necessary.
For this class, I offer 8 spaces.
Ensuring:
Plenty of space for each practicing yogi
Yoga adjustments, with consent and only if requested, which can help improve each asana and enable us to feel the difference between healthy and unhealthy postures
Personal attention from me
A relaxed environment
A more focused class
..but most importantly, a more personal connection within the class
‘ Friday Flow and Glow’ is a way of ending our week and moving into our weekend with a new glow, maybe even a new outlook.
You are invited to stay after our class for a complimentary warm drink, a lovely chat (after your much dreamt of Savasna!) you might even like to take a nice stroll in the countryside that resides a stone's throw away from our space before you return to your day.
1-2-1 Yoga
I’m lucky enough to have a space to offer private yoga classes.
With private instructions, you can deepen your practice, increase your confidence, ask questions in a confidential environment and receive personalised guidance and adjustments designed to your individual needs.
Private yoga sessions are helpful when:
* You are a beginner and want to learn correct postures without getting intimidated or feeling nervous by group setting.
* You want to deepen your practice and work towards specific goals (e.g. balance, stamina)
* Working on specific issues (tight heaps, ham string, back bands)
* You have health issues or injuries (knee, shoulder, back)
* You want to develop meditation or yoga practice that you can do at home
* You want to increase your mental focus.
* You would like to incorporate yoga in your weight-loss or strength training program.
* If you are a company and want to improve the quality of presence of your workers also semi private (small group of people) class
* If you’re shielding or find it difficult to leave your home
* Maybe you need support with anxiety or depression.
What to expect :
The Class is planned around an Opening; the Warm Up; the Body of the Class; the Cool Down; and a Closing. Every class includes Breath Consciousness; Meditation Practice as well as Mindful Movement and Posturing.
Benefits of One to One Yoga are sessions tailored to meet your individual needs. For example, if you suffer from hip pain or back pain I can choose ways to work that will specifically target that area. An individual adjustment can make a pose far more beneficial.
Likewise with people suffering from anxiety and depression, the benefits of One to One Yoga is the individual attention- certain poses are recommended and others are best avoided.
Maybe you are just not moving enough!?
For many of us, Pranayama (yogic breathing) can be the most challenging part of a Yoga class. In a group environment it can be hard to fully concentrate on the breath. Working individually, many people feel they can achieve a deeper sense of relaxation and confidence in your practice.

Yoga Me and Baby
Postnatal, Mother and Baby Yoga
Start getting back to being you after pregnancy
I know that it feels difficult when you feel you have to leave your baby to make a class for a specific time - will they need you while you are gone? My classes are baby friendly - not just that you can bring them, but they can feel relaxed, you do not need to ensure they are quiet or not fussing during the class. You can simply dip in and out when it suits you both and we incorporate baby to keep them entertained and stimulated, encouraging movements that support their little bodies.
I know it’s important to know that the exercises you are doing are safe and effective.
I know it’s important for you to have a moment for you in the week and how the space you work out in affects your relaxation experience - the venue is blissfully relaxing with many after class walking opportunities to get out in nature. As it's located near our local nature reserve.
Places are limited so booking early is essential.

Yoga Me and Baby
Prenatal Yoga
Support your pregnancy with yoga
Prenatal is an area I continue to be passionate about. Such a precious journey, not always quite as easy as it can look from the outside. My feeling right now in this time with Covid to contend with is that it is more important than ever that you are supported in your pregnancy.
Prenatal yoga:
Improve sleep.
Reduce stress and anxiety.
Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth.
Decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.
You’ll meet other women preparing to become a new parent
A prenatal yoga class can be a supportive and bonding experience, helping you to discuss and share fears and worries, pass on advice and simply offload. Together, you’ll strengthen your bodies while hopefully alleviating any stress about becoming a new parent

Corporate Yoga
Well-being in the workplace
Investing in employee wellbeing can lead to increased resilience, better employee engagement, reduced sickness absence and higher performance and productivity.
Even on the best days, stress can prevent us from being fully focused and doing our best work. Too much of it can lead to burnout, disengagement, more sick days, and strained relationships in the workplace.
By introducing corporate yoga sessions into the culture, you can maintain a peaceful and mentally healthy workforce. Increase productivity at work as the employee learn to manage their physical and mental wellbeing.
Reduced stress and improved health equates to greater creativity and productivity.
Stress can cause frustration and anger among your employees, causing them to be less motivated and productive. With its stress-reducing properties, corporate yoga can help to elevate your employees' mood as well as boost their confidence. This overall will help to create a harmonious workplace.
From what we learned during COVID-19, it’s never been more critical for business and Human Resources leaders to address the mental well-being of their teams head-on. Enterprise-ready, I can offer proven Corporate Wellbeing Yoga and mindfulness sessions that lead to healthier organisations from the inside out.
I believe we should all be able access to the right tools in our workplaces, not just in our personal time but whilst we work, where ever that may be. Using this toolkit encourages us to move our bodies, use our breath and understand where we are throughout our day.
Rest and reset !
